Addressing a public meeting at Zaheerabad on Friday night Mr Owaisi called BJP and Congress twins and said the two parties will not be successful in the Telangana assembly polls. The BJP has gone all out to secure the support of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community in Telangana as it looks to wrest the state from the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, or KCR. At an election rally in the southern state's Suryapet area, Home Minister Amit Shah asked people to vote for the BJP and promised to make a person from the OBC community the Chief Minister if BJP comes to power in Telangana. "Today, I want to tell the people of Telangana: You bless BJP and make a BJP government, BJP's next chief minister of Telangana would be from backward classes. As RSS Activities Banned At Kerala Temples, State Minister Justifies Move

Kerala Devaswom Minister K Radhakrishnan today justified a recent circular issued by the Travancore Devaswom Board banning all activities of the RSS on the premises of the temples under its control, saying that it was not to keep anyone away from shrines but to "maintain a peaceful atmosphere" there. The circular, issued by the Devaswom Commissioner last week, was not intended to prevent anyone from entering the temples, and a controversy over that was totally unwarranted, he told reporters. The minister's reaction came in the wake of widespread criticism and raging debate on social media groups against the TDB's circular, alleging that it was a move by the Left government to keep the Sangh Parivar away from shrines in the state. The TDB is the top temple body that manages major shrines in Kerala's Travancore region. "Places of worship should always be the centres of peace... There should be an atmosphere where all devotees can come and offer their prayer...

The farmer then quickly called the fellow villagers, who tied the crocodile and took it to the HESCOM office on October 19 to "demonstrate" the danger posed to them. Finding the "unusual guest" near their office, the terrified HESCOM officials called the police and forest officials to take it away.  The HESCOM officials then assured the villagers that they will ensure that there will not be any power cuts during daytime. The forest officials later left the crocodile in the Almatti Dam from where it is believed to have strayed into the ...
